Alexandra is a member of the City of Burlington Committee of Adjustment, currently in her second term. Alexandra's working life was spent primarily as a professional land use planner and later, as a municipal clerk. She has worked as a planner in London, England, Glasgow, Scotland, and four municipalities in southern Ontario.
She holds a B.Sc in Geography from University College, London and an M.Sc in Urban and Regional Planning from Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh. She holds a Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario, and her Clerks accreditation from AMCTO. As well as being a member of OACA, Alexandra is a member of AMCTO, the Royal Town Planning Institute, and is a retired member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. Alexandra is a marker for the OACA Primer on Planning course.
