The Ontario Association of Committees of Adjustment & Consent Authorities (OACA) has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the 2020 Annual Meeting (Conference) in Niagara Falls, scheduled for May 10 – 13 due to the continued spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and the recent updates from the World Health Organization (WHO) and multiple authorities in Ontario. We need to remain focused on our obligation to protect the health and safety of our members and all those who we come into contact with, especially those who are at a higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19.
We are currently working with the venue on alternative dates for the fall.
OACA will be providing a full refund to all registrants.
Please join us in keeping the positive spirit of the Conference alive as we move forward together through this unprecedented situation. Often the best of ideas come from facing the toughest challenges and we look forward to continuing our learning experience in the fall.
Important Election/Voting Event Update
In light of the ongoing developments relating to COVID-19, the Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone election and voting on constitutional changes to coincide with the rescheduling of the Annual Meeting. In the meantime, the Nomination Form will continue to be available in the Member area of this website. The current composition of the Board will continue with efforts to move forward with a fall Annual Meeting and will continue to support the function of the Association. We realize that this is a difficult time for many of our municipal professionals and committee members who are dealing with challenges that have never been dealt with before.
OACA will continue to respond to emails and post job opportunities as well as provide online education. Please continue to connect with each other during these times, to discuss the difficult challenges we are facing and share success stories that will enhance our future business practices.
